In a heartwarming celebration of World Environment Day on June 5th, the enthusiastic first and second grade students of St. Mary’s International School took the lead in making their school campus greener and cleaner. With small hands and big smiles, the young learners participated in a Clean-Up Drive organized specially for them.
Armed with gloves and a dedicated spirit, the students cleaned up the Junior Assembly Hall, corridors, basketball court and school turf.
They also learned about the importance of keeping their surroundings clean, and how small actions can help protect the Earth.
Our cheerful Kindergarteners began their day with an interactive and engaging discussion where the students explored and shared simple yet powerful ways to care for our planet with their little hands in school and at home.
The students participated in a class project where they made colourful handprints, stuck elements representing eco friendly actions such as Reduce, Reuse, Recycle,” “Say No to Plastic,” and “Do Not Waste Water", "Plant more trees".
They lovingly created a special craft, expressing their care for Mother Earth and their promise to protect and cherish her through simple, thoughtful actions.
Celebrating World Environment Day served as a meaningful and wonderful opportunity to instill eco-friendly habits in children at an early age. It showed that no matter how small, everyone can make a difference.
Happy World Environment Day!
Let’s keep the Earth clean and green—together!
