On 19th October 2026, the students of Grades 1, 2, and 3 from St. Mary’s International School enjoyed an exciting educational field trip to the Nehru Science Centre. The visit gave our young learners a wonderful chance to bring out the inner scientist in them and explore science through fun, interactive experiences.

During their visit , the children attended three engaging shows, which ignited their scientific temper. At the Science on a Sphere demonstration, they became one with the solar system as they watched images of the Earth and planets on a floating globe. The biggest hit of the day was the 3D Robinson Crusoe show, which captivated them and gave them the real 3D experience as the animals appeared to jump through the screen.

Throughout the centre, they enjoyed the shows, especially the live demonstrations of science experiments. The instructors brought science alive with their bird gravity experiment and even discovered Isaac Newton's Third Law of motion with an intriguing bottle demonstration.

Along with these amazing hands- on experiences, they visited the prehistoric museum, aviation museum and learned about animals in the stone age and aviation from the birth of aeroplanes to controlling one. At the Science Museum, they learnt about basic concepts of light and sound. They discovered how sound travels through vibrations, learned about forces like pushes and pulls and studied the properties of different materials.

The field trip was a great success. It helped classroom lessons come alive and made learning science simple, memorable, and inspiring for all the students.
