Our Foundation Stage 1 learners visited the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya to explore the fascinating world of Natural History. The children were amazed by the grand museum building and the beautiful stone sculptures they saw on their way in.

The visit began with a delightful surprise — an entertaining puppet show about animals! The lively story, fun actions and engaging dialogues captured the children’s attention, and they eagerly participated throughout the performance.

The children were fascinated to see the lifelike displays of stuffed animals, which looked almost real. They were thrilled to spot the majestic White Tiger and Bengal Tiger, the powerful Indian Bison, the famous Kashmir Stag, the Indian Rhinoceros and many more animals. Their excitement continued as they observed a variety of birds, including flamingos, Baya Weavers, vultures, parrots, owls, herons and hornbills, as well as bats and squirrels. They were particularly curious about the different types of nests birds build to keep their eggs and babies safe.

The exhibits offered wonderful opportunities for the children to observe and compare the colours, sizes, shapes and unique features of different animals and birds. This hands-on learning experience encouraged them to ask questions, explore their surroundings and develop a deeper appreciation for the wonders of nature.

Overall, the museum visit was an engaging, enjoyable and enriching educational experience that sparked curiosity and made learning about the natural world truly memorable for our young learners.
