Summer Fest !

Here comes the summer sun and it's time to have some fun!  Our young Marians of St. Mary's International School soaked up some sun and got into summer mode with their Summer Fest on Tuesday, 29th April, 2025 in the Mary Immaculate Hall. The boys and girls of Grades 1 and 2 let down their hair and looked as cool as the summer breeze in their beach-themed outfits and colourful florals. The celebrations began at 9am with an exciting floral garland-making craft activity where the students handcrafted unique garlands for themselves. After adorning each other with beautiful garlands, our young Marians were set for some amusing and playful games organized by the teachers. The students brought out their true team spirit as they played games like the balloon caterpillar race, loop the hula hoop , marble balance , cup catcher and dance-freeze-pose. They balanced , hopped and used their concentration to the fullest in order to win . The games got them all warmed up for some dancing and they showed off their moves to those groovy, summer tunes.

The energy levels were high, and it was time for them to cool down with a special surprise. Our dynamic parents got the students to feel like they were on the beach with some entertaining stalls that included hair braiding, hand and face painting, creating their own fruit tikkis, popsicle bookmarks, punching the pinata and the photo booth. They were delighted after participating in every activity at each stall and were given an opportunity to showcase their braids and tattoos in the finale fashion show. The summer celebration ended at 12noon  with our supervisor, Ms. Sandra Fernandes, thanking the parents for all their support. The students left with huge smiles on their faces as they were presented with a little takeaway and  even treated to some delicious ice cream.
