The Mary Immaculate Hall was buzzing with positive energy on June 18, 2026, as St. Mary’s International School celebrated International Yoga Day! The morning was all about flexibility, focus, and fun for our young learners.
Leading the session was Mrs. Malvi Jain, a parent from the International Section. Her encouraging and interactive approach made the session enjoyable and engaging for both children and parents. With her calm presence and graceful guidance, she led the children from FS1 to Grade 3, to stretch and pose through playful, age-appropriate yoga activities, including Hastpadasana, Baddha Konasana, Tadasana, Surya Namaskar, Salamba Sarvangasana and Bhramari Pranayama, and with many other engaging poses and breathing techniques. The children participated with great enthusiasm, learning the importance of mindfulness, balance, and healthy habits while having lots of fun.
It was a massive family affair, with high-spirited mothers and fathers turning out in large numbers to roll out their mats. Even our School Director, Fr. Yohan Alphonso, and Supervisor, Ms. Sandra Fernandes, joined the crowd to breathe and stretch right along with the families. It was a wonderful morning of community bonding and big smiles that our school family will cherish for a long time!
