Grade 2 Assembly - Kargil Vijay Diwas

Lets' Salute our Kargil Heroes!

The freedom and safety of the people is the highest priority of our soldiers. They lay down their lives for the country and we must be immensely thankful to them.The young Marians of Grade 2 International conducted a special assembly on Friday,18th July, honouring the efforts of our soldiers as we come close to Kargil Vijay Diwas.The students spoke eloquently about the Kargil War that took place in the year 1999, explaining how our brave soldiers  sacrificed their lives to ensure our safety and freedom. Along with a brief historical background of the Kargil war, they thoughtfully explored how they, as children, can best honour these heroes. Our girls and boys pledged to be better people by committing to be  responsible and good citizens. The assembly culminated with an informative video on the Kargil war to  deepen their understanding of this significant day in India's history.
