On Monday, April 20th, our Grade 2 students took to the stage for a vibrant assembly titled "The Planet Protector Academy". With Earth Day 2026 approaching on April 22nd , the students embraced this year’s theme, "Our Power, Our Planet," to show that even the youngest citizens have big powers to help the world. Through engaging speeches, the children highlighted the importance of protecting our oceans from plastic and keeping our air clean. They demonstrated three key "Planet Powers": saving energy by flipping off light switches , conserving water at the tap , and reducing waste by using steel bottles. The energy peaked during the "Planet Protector Anthem," where the entire audience joined in miming eco-friendly actions to the tune of "If You're Happy and You Know It". The morning concluded with a solemn "Power Pledge," as students promised to keep the Earth green. It was an inspiring reminder that we don't need capes to be heroes.
