International Yoga Day

Stretch and Flex

Inhale the fresh air, exhale all that isn't needed as we celebrate International Yoga Day on 21st June 2025. Yoga isn’t just an exercise, it's nourishment for the soul and International Yoga day was celebrated with great zeal by the students of Grades 1 and 2, fostering a spirit of well-being and mindfulness, and aligning with the current year's theme of 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health'.

Our enthusiastic learners, guided by their Yoga master, Sir Sundeep, did a few breathing exercises and performed a variety of simple yoga poses. They gracefully stretched their muscles and showcased their impressive flexibility with asanas like Padmasan, Trikonasan, Suryanamaskar, Dhanurasan and more. This engaging yoga session demonstrated how these asanas brought about better concentration, flexibility and strength. It also highlighted the fact that yoga is a fun and interesting way of exercising. St. Mary's International School aims at providing holistic education, keeping in mind, the mental and physical health of its students and what better way to do it than by inculcating and encouraging the practice of exercising through 'Yoga'.
