Let there be Peace!

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world, and peace is the ultimate lesson it teaches." — in the words of Nelson Mandela, the students  of Grade 2  presented a meaningful morning assembly to celebrate the International Day of Peace. This important day  is celebrated every year on 21st September.

Our young speakers shared the history of the United Nations observance, explained the symbolism of the white dove and outlined four practical ways to foster harmony in our school. They highlighted peaceful listening , polite playground conduct, using gentle words like "Please" , " Thank you" and being helpful in the classroom. The assembly concluded with the entire group leading the school in a rhythmic Marian Peace Pledge.
