On 27th November, the Grade 1 students of St. Mary’s International School came together to present a special assembly on the topic “Being fit – eating healthy and staying active” . The presentation focused on showing how important staying fit is and how eating healthy and maintaining an active lifestyle matters for our well being.
It encouraged everyone to eat healthy, students were also educated on the value of consuming a variety of foods, especially fruits and vegetables and their importance in our daily diet. With confidence and enthusiasm, the students delivered some thoughts and it was followed by a motivational act on eating healthy and maintaining a good diet and having an active lifestyle. A creative PowerPoint presentation accompanied their performance, adding visual meaning to their words.
To make the message even more engaging, the assembly concluded with a short, interactive workout session. Students participated in a series of simple exercises, including stretches, squats, etc. This hands-on activity helped reinforce the importance of physical activity and allowed the students to experience firsthand how easy it is to incorporate movement into their daily routines. The session not only energized the students but also emphasized that staying active doesn’t require hours at the gym even brief, quick workouts can be highly beneficial.
