The St. Mary’s International School auditorium was a kaleidoscope of colour on the morning of 6th February as the students of Grades 1 and 2 presented their delightful production, "The Great Fairytale Mix-up." Under the expert direction of Sir Meherzad Patel and his team, every single child was a star, flawlessly juggling multiple roles throughout the performance. The stage was alive with vibrant costumes that added a brilliant visual flair to the show. Our young cast showcased their immense talent by seamlessly transitioning between acting, singing, and energetic dance routines.
The charm of the play lay in its clever script, written in witty, rhyming dialogues that kept the audience captivated. The "mix-up" of characters was truly hilarious, leading to unexpected moments that tickled the funny bone of every parent and teacher. The dances were an absolute blend of different characters with Cinderella and Goldilocks ditching their classic storybooks to "shake a leg" to the upbeat rhythm of Footloose and the Big Bad Wolf belting out a powerhouse rendition of Firework and the whimsical chaos of the mixed-up storylines, the performance brought back fond memories with a comedic twist.
All in all it was a joyful celebration of creativity and hard work, standing as a perfect reminder that "Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever."
