Field Trip to the Museum (K1)

Our kindergarteners visited the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and explored the Natural History section. They were amazed by the grand museum building and the stone sculptures they saw on their way in.

Their visit began with a surprise, an entertaining puppet show on animals, featuring a lively story, fun actions and dialogues in which the children happily and eagerly participated throughout. They were amazed to see the beautifully displayed stuffed animals in a way that made them look almost real. They were excited to spot the majestic white tiger, the strong Indian Bison, and the famous Kashmir stag.

They also observed various species of birds such as bats, flamingos, vultures, parrots, owls, heron and the hornbill. They were curious to see different types of nests that birds build to keep their eggs and babies safe. The exhibits helped the children observe and learn that each animal and bird looked different in colour, size, shape and features.

This visit sparked their curiosity to learn more about the world around them. Overall it was an engaging, enjoyable and educational experience for our young learners.
