Today, the Kindergarteners of the International Section went on a delightful field trip to the Malabar Hill Nature Trail and later visited the Old Lady’s Shoe at the Hanging Gardens.
At the Nature Trail, the children experienced outdoor learning. They explored plants and trees of different sizes, observed a variety of leaves, shades of green, spotted bird nests on branches, and even noticed mushrooms growing along the way. Walking across the wooden bridge surrounded by lush greenery was a memorable highlight, helping them notice the calm and beauty of the natural world. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect with and appreciate nature, learn about the environment and experience outdoor learning beyond the classroom.
The next stop was the Old Lady’s Shoe – a whimsical structure shaped like a giant shoe inspired by the famous nursery rhyme. The children were excited and fascinated looking at it, big laces, tiny windows and a spiral stairway inside. Some imagined and even wished they could live in such a playful house. Their curiosity and joy turned the visit into a lively learning experience filled with fun and imagination.
The field trip was a blend of learning and exploration. The children returned to school with wide smiles and happy memories of a wonderful day outdoors.
