Field Trip (Grade 1) – Malabar Hill Nature Trail

On Thursday 11th September, our first graders traded classroom walls for tall trees as we set off on our field trip to the Malabar Hill Forest Trail.

Our young explorers quickly learned that every step revealed something new. They spotted different kinds of towering trees, a variety of birds chirping, and even a few surprises! The group was fascinated (and a little wide-eyed) when we came across not one, but two snakes slithering quietly down below. Although we were all at a safe distance, it was the highlight of the day for many students!

Closer to the ground, careful eyes noticed patches of mushrooms tucked into shady corners, reminding us that even the smallest things in nature have a story to tell.

The trail gave students a chance to see science come alive—observing, asking questions, and sharing discoveries with friends.

By the time the bus brought us back to school, our young explorers were a little tired, but full of excitement and stories to tell.
